How to stock your label rolls ?

Storage, temperature & humidity

  • The rolls should be laid flat in a perfect pile: they cannot be placed on the side.

  • Ideal storage conditions: maximum 20°C and 50% relative humidity, to prevent label curling.
  • For labels with flowable adhesive, choose a cool place (from 10°C to 18°C) without condensation and pack them in a plastic bag.
  • Protect the rolls from direct sunlight.
  • Store the unused rolls in their sealed packaging.
  • Store the started rolls in plastic bags.

  • Use the labels on a FIFO (first-in, first-out) basis.
  • The labels should be used within two years after their production.
  • Remove the rolls carefully from their packaging to prevent the rolls from telescoping.
  • For a flexible roll, do not tighten it.
  • Remove dust, grease, oil or residues from old labels with solvents. Do not use silicone or wax-based products.
  • Avoid long contact between adhesive and fingers.
  • In ideal storage conditions, wait 24 hours before making resistance or pull-off tests on the labels.

If the temperature in your production place is different from the temperature in your warehouse: you should let the labels acclimatise in their closed packaging.
